Doreen Miori-Merola has been an English teacher and staff developer for over 35 years. She has a B.S. from SUNY Oswego in English/secondary education, did graduate work in diagnostic and prescriptive reading at Oswego, and received an M.S. in English education advanced study from Syracuse University. Doreen is a training associate for the Institute for Habits of Mind, Adaptive Schools, and Cognitive Coaching. She is also the Coordinating Consultant for Technology for Thinking Collaborative. As an English teacher, ELA Content Specialist and staff developer, Doreen has worked to build capacity in her school district by training staff members in AS, CC, and HOM.
